2025 Ken Schueler Seminar: A Deep Dive into Pancreatic Cancer
The 2025 Ken Schueler Cancer Seminar will explore the latest trends and challenges in pancreatic cancer. According to the National Cancer Institute, approximately 1.7% of men and women will be diagnosed with pancreatic cancer during their lifetime, based on data from 2018–2021 (excluding 2020 due to COVID-19).
Despite advancements in medical technology and improved survival rates for many cancers, pancreatic cancer remains one of the deadliest gastrointestinal cancers, with a low five-year survival rate and significant challenges in early detection. Globally, the incidence and mortality of pancreatic cancer continue to rise, with projections estimating an incidence rate of 18.6 per 100,000 people by 2050, reflecting an annual growth rate of 1.1%. This growing trend underscores the substantial global public health burden posed by pancreatic cancer.
The seminar will feature distinguished speakers who specialize in supporting patients and families impacted by pancreatic cancer. They will share valuable insights and strategies to assist healthcare professionals and advocates in delivering comprehensive care for this complex patient population.
