CE Information: Approved for 1 BCPA CE General Credit

About the Webinar:

How do we address spiritual influences that may impact an individual’s health, care choices, and delivery? Healthcare professionals acknowledge that inclusive care includes multicultural, religious, and spiritual factors. How comfortable are you assessing a person’s spirituality beyond “checking the box for religious preference” on an intake or admission assessment? What does spiritual well-being look like?

The “why” behind spirituality assessment is outlined in our professional organizations, the Joint Commission, and other key stakeholders. Join this critical conversation offering an overview of the essential role of spirituality in healthcare; essential definitions; assessment tools and practical applications for asking hard questions.

After this webinar attendees will be able to:

  1. Discuss the role of spirituality in inclusive healthcare delivery.
  2. Explore spiritual/faith beliefs regarding mortality, suffering, and healthcare decision- making.
  3. Integrate strategies through patient experiences and a case study.
