Ethical Issues Impacting Healthcare Advocates

This seminar will explore the ethical issues faced by health-care professionals and health advocates that are a part of the clinical practice process. We will examine the principles and theories that guide ethical practice in managing ethical dilemmas that exist in a variety of practice settings. Participants will learn how to apply the principles and theories of ethics into practice situations when advocating for their clients & patients.

Jim McCabe, PhD.

Dr. Jim McCabe is the President of Eldercare Resources, a geriatric care management company that specializes in eldercare and case management services. Over a period of more than 25 years, Dr. McCabe has assisted hundreds of families with planning in the areas of eldercare and long term care planning.

Dr. McCabe is a national trainer for the Society of Certified Senior Advisors and has been on the faculty at the University of California, Berkeley and San Jose State University.

He holds Masters Degrees from the University of Hawaii and earned his PhD at the University of California, Berkeley. Jim and his wife Deborah make their home in Pleasanton, CA.
