End of Life, Grief, Living Losses Coach
Program Overview:
Complementary, non-medical, End of Life (EOL) providers are emerging. In this webinar, the speaker will address the Who, What, When, Where, How and Why of the EOL Grief Coach, how they works with clients, families and medical professionals, from diagnosis to bereavement. Complementary providers are among those working to change the narrative around death and dying with the goal of demedicalizing and normalizing death and grief. By providing meaningful engagement upstream of illness and through to the End of Life process, the EOL Coach promotes death literacy, wellness, emotional, educational and logistical support for those living with advanced serious and terminal illness, their families and/or caregivers.
Program objectives:
- The learner will be able to identify non-medical support services offered by EOL/Grief Coach and how they benefit patients living with advance, serious or terminal illness and their loved ones.
- The learner will be able to understand how complementary End Of Life services can be integrated into their organizations and strategies for interprofessional collaboration, adding a compassionate, additional layer of person-centered care.
- Share some tips so the learner will be able to use to educate patients and families how to choose between the largely unregulated non-medical providers of end-of-life planning and support services.
