According to the American College of Surgeons, 15 million Americans undergo some type of surgery each year. Surgical patients are frequently required to make complex decisions regarding their health or procedure and also must adhere to often formidable presurgical, surgical and postsurgical instructions. Navigating the surgical experience requires understanding of the process and the optimization that is often required of patients. In this interactive workshop we will explore key points to guiding patients through this challenging time.
