Cameron Clapp : Global Ambassador / Hanger Clinic
After being struck by a train and instantly losing both legs above-the-knee and his right arm at the shoulder at 15 years old, Cameron Clapp was told by doctors he would never walk again. Drawing on his will to survive and to truly live, he proved everyone wrong by walking independently with two prosthetic legs just five months after the accident. Cameron is a now employed as a global ambassador for Hanger Clinic and travels the country to share his survival story with medical professionals and the limb loss/limb difference community.

Pedro Pimenta: Global Ambassador
At 18 years old, Pedro Pimenta lost all four limbs to bacterial meningitis. Most medical professionals thought he would be wheelchair bound and require dedicated assistance for life. But, Pedro refused to let them define his story. With grit and determination, Pedro regained his independence through peer support and prosthetic technology. Since his amputation surgeries, Pedro has obtained his Degree in Economics, written a book and given a Ted Talk. He is engaged and recently moved back to Sao Paulo Brazil to be closer to his family.

Cam and Pedro met at the Challenged Athletes Foundation Triathlon in 2010 and began a friendship that remains strong today. When Covid-19 curtailed their abilities to provide peer support and medical education in person, Hanger Clinic supported their desire to provide community support through their YouTube show called One Arm Between Us.

Lizbeth Uzcategui: BDM & AMPOWER Regional Coordinator / Hanger Clinic
