Steve Corn, BCPA

You've heard the saying: it's not personal, it's just business. For Steven Corn, it IS personal. His 21-year-old son was born with a rare genetic disorder that only 15 people in the world have. His daughter has a neurological disorder that is so new, it still has not been listed in DSM coding book. Additionally, his wife's recovery from brain surgery has required Steve to accompany her to every doctor visit for the past three years. After 30 years in the music business, Steven successfully exited his digital music distribution company (BFM Digital). This allowed him to follow his passions involving the healthcare system. He is a graduate of the UCLA Extension Patient Advocacy Certificate program. He is also a board-certified patient advocate (www.pacboard.org). Three years ago, he created Metis Advocacy (www.metisadvocacy.com) to assist people in dealing with the complexities, dysfunctions and challenges of navigating the “Healthcare” system. Currently, Metis Advocacy, based in Los Angeles, services clients across the country handling a wide variety of financial, insurance and medical advocacy issues.
