Myra Katz
Myra Katz is a Board Certified Patient Advocate, and the owner of Katz Patient Advocate Inc. Myra trained as a Physician Assistant at The George Washington University School of Medicine and Allied Health Care and worked for many years as a hospitalist and at a community hospital in the Hematology/Oncology Department, practicing in both the out-patient and in-patient setting. It was there that she developed her passion for advocating for her patients, and in educating them in how to navigate the unfriendly health care system. In addition to Katz Patient Advocate, Myra is involved with Gilchrist Hospice Services as a death doula and a speaker on subjects including Advance Directives, palliative care, and how to have “The Conversation.”
She has a practice as an independent patient advocate, working mainly with newly diagnosed cancer patients and those with chronic illnesses.
In addition, she has a weekly blog on Linked In and Facebook in which she educates the public on many aspects of healthcare.
Tammy Krack, BCPA
Tammy, a former nurse with over 20 years of experience, transitioned to a business career in Corporate America. After 14 years, her position was eliminated due to a company restructuring. Searching for her next career move, Tammy explored substitute teaching but soon realized her true passion stood elsewhere.
In 2017, Tammy's calling became clear when she helped her brother navigate a challenging medical experience. Even before formally entering patient advocacy, Tammy was the go-to person for family and friends during medical crises.
Tammy is the founder and CEO of Blessed Advocacy, based in Orlando, FL, serving individuals and families nationwide. Our mission is to provide compassionate and dedicated support for those needing medical guidance and advocacy. Whether navigating complex medical situations, making healthcare decisions, or seeking advocacy, we're here to help.
Tammy became a Board Certified Patient Advocate (BCPA) in 2020, recertifying in 2023. She has been a Florida Notary since 2018 and serves on the Patient, and Family Advisory Council for the UF Cancer Center and the Patient Advisory Council for Orlando Health Hospital. She is a member of GNA, The Care Partner Project, and NAHAC and recently joined the NAHAC Education Committee as a new volunteer member.
