Advocacy Spotlight: Karen Curtiss, founder The Care Partner Project, launches Spark Speaker Series
NAHAC would like to highlight Karen Curtiss BCPA, founder of The Care Partner Project, and the launch of her new "Spark Speaker Series." The Care Partner Project, https://thecarepartnerproject.org, is a 501c3 non-profit based in Chicago that offers fully vetted – yet super simple – checklists that demystify healthcare and equip anyone to partner with medical providers for safe and sound care.
Like many advocates, Karen left her first career to help improve care after a loved one died from preventable harm in a top hospital. The new "Spark Series" podcast is an extension of this mission!
Spark Speakers will shine a light on innovations and information to help advocates "ignite" better care. Spark launched on March 22nd featuring Linda Beck, a professional Ombudsman, who covered how those in this role can be advocates' best allies for their clients in Long-Term, Assisted, and Memory Care. BCBA CEU credits are available for this talk. A recording of this inaugural talk may be found at: https://thecarepartnerproject.org/advocate-bcpa-ceu.
